GoaFest 2022 Wrap Up: Connecting Bharat, Creators & Brands

GoaFest offered three days of knowledge seminars, industry conclaves, masterclasses and award shows, witnessing nearly 1,500 members in attendance, celebrating innovation, creativity and flair.

Goafest, the biggest advertising festival in South Asia, hosted by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI), ended on a high note. After a hiatus of two long years, Goafest returned in all its glory to facilitate the industry with new knowledge and insights. In its 15th edition, Goafest offered three days of knowledge seminars, industry conclaves, masterclasses and award shows. The event was held from 5th to 7th May at the Grand Hyatt Goa and saw nearly 1,500 members in attendance, celebrating innovation, creativity and flair.

The festival kicked off with the unveiling of AAAI’s new logo. The theme of Goafest this year was ‘celebrating the superpower within’. As leaders in their respective spaces, ShareChat and Moj collaborated with AAAI as key sponsors to exhibit and engage with the industry.

ShareChat & Moj, Co-founder and CEO, Ankush Sachdeva engaged in an interesting discussion with Vikram Sakhuja, Group CEO, Madison Media and OOH, Madison World. The duo spoke about the genesis of ShareChat, language-first content, short-form content, monetisation and the creator economy. Harping on the need for short-form content, Ankush said, “In the next five years, a large number of people will consume only 10-15 second videos. If your video fails to generate interest within the first 2 seconds, people will lose attention.”

Besides the key session, ShareChat also held a power-packed masterclass on ‘How creators are driving brand success’. Hosted by Akshat Sahu, Director - Marketing at ShareChat & Simran Channey Gaglani, Head - Brand Solutions at ShareChat & Moj, the session was aimed to enable marketers to make the most of the language-first creator opportunity. The session focused on the creator ecosystem and its growth drivers, how brands can get close to Bharat with creators, leverage nano and micro influencers, and the future of the creator economy.


Goafest attendees also got an opportunity to win prizes at an immersive and experiential booth hosted by Moj. The booth engaged over 600 participants in a span of 3 days.
